How it works

Install on your PC
The Decropad app sits in the tray and runs whatever your keys do. It starts with Windows so your deck is always ready.

Scan the code with your phone
Open the Android app and scan the QR code on your PC. The connection is encrypted and locked to that one computer.

Tap a key
Change any key on the PC: pick an icon, a colour and what it does. Your phone updates the moment you press Save.

Press shortcuts
Ctrl + Shift + M to mute in a call, Win + Shift + S for a screenshot. Record the combo by pressing it.
Control music and volume
Play, pause, next, previous, volume and mute work with Spotify, YouTube and any media player.

Launch Photoshop, open D:\Invoices or jump to your dashboard in the browser.
Type text for you
Your address, a canned reply, a code snippet. Tap once instead of typing it again.
Run commands
Start a build, run a PowerShell script or send obs --startstreaming.

- Open this page on your phone and tap Download for Android.
- Open the downloaded file. If your phone asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps, then go back.
- Tap Install. If Play Protect warns that it doesn't recognise the app, tap More details, then Install anyway.
To update later, download the new APK and install it over the old one. Your paired PCs stay paired.
Stays between your phone and your PC
No account, no cloud
Your keys and settings live on your PC. Nothing is uploaded to us.
Encrypted on your Wi-Fi
The phone checks your PC's certificate from the QR code, so no other device can pretend to be it.
Only your phones
A phone has to scan the code on screen to connect. Remove it from the PC app any time.
Questions
The phone can't find my PC
Both need to be on the same Wi-Fi. Some office and guest networks block devices from talking to each other; try your home network or your phone's hotspot. If Windows asked about the firewall when you installed, allow private networks.
A shortcut does nothing in one program
Windows doesn't let normal apps send keys to programs running as administrator. Run Decropad as administrator too, or start the other program normally.
Does it work with iPhone, Mac or Linux?
Not yet. Windows and Android come first; Mac, Linux and iPhone are planned.
Why isn't the Android app on Google Play?
It will be. Until then you can install it from this website. It's the same app, signed by us, and it asks only for the camera, to scan the pairing code.
When can I buy Pro?
Soon. We're finishing the paperwork first. The free version keeps working as it is, and Pro will be a one-time purchase that unlocks more keys in the same app. Join the waitlist and we'll email you once when it launches.
Can I use a tablet?
Yes, Android tablets work the same way as phones.
